7 benefits of wholeness living pic

The self-help or self-improvement industry is littered with the lives of people who hoped to transform, but never got there. I know I struggled for years to make something better of my life and quit many times along the way.

If you have read my blog for long you know that I was bed-ridden and rebuilt my life from the bottom. This year I celebrated my 25th wedding anniversary. That alone is an achievement in our crazy times, but it is a BIG deal to me because I was not sure I would see 10 years of marriage, let alone 25. This year is my 16th year of being well and I want to share some pearls as to how I got here and STAY here.

Wholeness Living is the way I roll. It means that I "feed" my body, soul, and spirit regularly and intentionally so that I live from fullness, not emptiness. Oh sure, life gets busy and I get out of whack, but I know how to get back in the zone when it does.

One of the ways I keep going is to focus on the benefits of living this way. Here's a few of them:

  1. Health & Longevity -- When you consistently practice Wholeness Living you will experience stable health, sometimes for the first time in your life . Many of us grow up in instability and pain so that we lower our expectations. We think that we will always be fighting some disease or pain. In Wholeness Living, you'll see your health improve year after year. You'll feel strength and energy flowing from your spirit to your soul and from your soul to your body. As a result, you'll be able to approach the next season of your life with strength and expect to see your life expectancy increase.
  2. Balance --  Most of us live from one extreme to another because we do not like who we are. In Wholeness Living, you will live your life in balance because you'll see that your life is a gift. You will experience peace because you have stopped putting down the essential parts of yourself. The balance you achieve when you accept yourself will give you a new authority to live your life at a pace that suits you, not others. This may sound selfish to some of you, but what happens is not selfishness but greater generosity: you will give out of love for others and rest out of love for yourselves.
  3. Freedom -- One of the greatest benefits of Wholeness Living is that you move from living as a scared animal powerless to change anything to a whole stable person. From a place of stability, you will begin to exercise the authority over your life to grow and create. You won't wait around for someone's permission to be you. In this place of freedom, you will find your energy flows from a place of overflow, not depletion. This concept is offensive to people who believe lack is the best life has to offer, but as long as we settle for survival we won't grow and we will always feel thirsty. The people around us are waiting to benefit from our growth as we are from theirs. It is a place of beautiful overflow that only comes when people are free to be themselves and exercise authority of themselves.
Next week I will go into part II of the topic of benefits. We will look at protection, relationships, abundance, and love.

There are more benefits to Wholeness Living, more than I have space to write about in a weekly blog. I will talk more about them in my upcoming weekly TV show, but for now know that once you go after Wholeness Living no one can take it away from you. You'll stop feeling vulnerable to pressure and will begin to release life into the broken areas of your life. As you heal, you will also start repairing the broken places in the people around you.

This happens because Wholeness Living creates the atmosphere that not only allows us to maximally grow, but also the structure to support that growth.

Face it, in Wholeness Living, you're doomed to succeed.

That's all for this week.
