Starts With Magnesium

So why should you care if you are missing some key nutrients? I mean, what's the big deal?

The big deal is that you can likely correct or improve your health by changing what you eat and by supplementing. I have never met anyone who didn't want to avoid heart surgery, diabetes, or insomnia.

The problem is we think that the food and our environment is the same as it was in the 1970s or 1990s. Truth is, the food we eat is very different. Oh sure it looks and tastes like food, but the nutritional content is very different. Glyphosates, or Roundup, bind some key transitional metals we need to live. One such nutrient is magnesium (Mg).

Here's what it looks like to be low in it:
  1. Fatigue
  2. Repeated illnesses
  3. Irregular heartbeats
  4. Heart failure
  5. High blood pressure
  6. Muscle cramps (especially charlie horses after stretching)
  7. Type 2 diabetes
  8. Headaches and migraines
  9. Anxiety and depression
Those are a lot of issues that could be improved by getting more magnesium. Wow! Every week I see clients whose health is improved by adding one form or another of Mg and feel better because of it.

Mg can benefit so many systems in our bodies because it effects the powerhouses of our cells, the mitochondria. When those work well, our cells can work. The reason it is so powerful is that it is used in every tissue from making serotonin, working with other minerals like calcium, is working in DNA and RNA copying, and improving detoxification of toxins.

Eating certified organic foods will increase your uptake of it because as I stated above glyphosates bind it so it is unavailable to you.

Here are some organic foods rich in it:
  • Raw Cacao nibs
  • Avocados
  • Pumpkin Seeds
  • Grass-fed dairy products
It is marvelous to learn that you can lower your risk of heart disease by nearly 25% by just increasing your Mg intake, so I encourage you to take one thing from this blog and apply it to your life. If you need help adding a Mg supplement to your life give me a call, I'd be happy to help.

That's all for this week.
